Too Funny
This article snagged from Slashdot really is quite humorous. A Houston Texas paper has an article about how the title of engineer when referring to a Software Engineer may not be allowed under current Texas law. The accident in the 30's was aweful to read about, I couldn't imagine something like that, but you'd think they'd be quick enough to see a difference. I think this is more of an issue of the human resources looking for the cheapest ticket. If they were willing to check the background of applicants they were truely considering then they would easily be able to tell if they knew enough for the position, instead the onus is put to the proffesional whose worked hard on their title and position.
