My thoughts
I heard a conservative anti-war talkshow host this morning talk about how France has a plan in mind from the beging and duped Bush and his administration into following it to a T. I think that was close but not right on. Bush and Co. knew what was going on. They did what they had to do and more. The ones I believe have been duped are the 50% or so anti-war citizens of the world. The split is about 50/50 for war. Minus those who are against just because the hate Bush you're left with an even smaller number.

They have led the public to believe that Saddam is making progress. That Bush is just making up where his father fell short. That Bush is after oil. That Bush and Co. have made up things about Iraq and have no evidence or reason to worry. That Bush and Co. are going it alone.

It dumbfounds me when Saddam still hasn't declared what the UN (not US) knew was there before, it had to go somewhere even if they gave it away. Former President Bush didn't fall short according the the UN mandate, if the UN is so important now, why do we say he fell short when he stopped when the UN said to stop? The US presence in Iraq has been said to be bad for oil prices in the US, even by Saudi officials who don't want the war, does it make sence then that this should be about oil? It should have been obvious from the start of this that we weren't going it alone, the UK, Spain and Australia have been big partners plus 27 other states who will be helping us in some way . . . that's the most multilateral unilateral action I've ever seen.

I've yet to hear a decent anti-war argument.
