A few pundits on TV, radio, newspaper, etc. had claimed that anti-semetic feelings have been on a huge increase in France and in Europe as a whole. I hadn't heard a lot about it so I didn't have an opinion. Well, I think I can agree with them after this report. France is a bunch of haters . . .

Violent hate crimes quadrupled in France in 2002 to the highest level in a decade, with more than half the assaults aimed at Jews, a national study has found. . . .

In the report, the committee said 193 of 313 attacks were against Jews in a "real explosion" of anti-Semitic violence. Last year, the group reported 32 acts of anti-Jewish violence.

So last year they had 70 some total and this year they have more than twice that against Jews alone . . . what were they saying about peace and law abiding?
