Funny Thing
Kofi Annan said to Condoleezza Rice today that the US is legally responsible for Iraqi humanitarian aid. While true, I can't help but to laugh. I don't have the figures right in front of me but the US is the biggest supporter money wise to the UN so if the UN did help it would be a larger percentage of US money going into it with some other states mixed into the pot. Annan saying that it is the US's responsibilty is saying that the larger percentage of US money will have to go to Iraq along with some other (coalition) states mixed in the pot.

I may be wrong but I think the only difference between the two is who we say is doing it. The US or the UN, all other variables remain the same. People constantly complain about the US but without the US and what the US does the world would be worse for wear. I'm pleased with what we've done and what we're doing.
